Zero-sum rule

Before a player loses score points, the same amount of points is added to The Beard Foundation. Before a player gains points, the same amount is removed from The Beard Foundation, unless such a transaction would result in the score of The Beard Foundation becoming negative, in which both the score of the player and The Beard Foundation is unchanged. In a situation where several players are equally eligible to points and such distribution of points would make the score of The Beard Foundation negative, the scores of those players and The Beard Foundation all remain unchanged.

The first paragraph of this rule should be interpreted in such a way that rules that already transfer points between a player and The Beard Foundation work the same as in the absence of this rule.

All players lose 50 points to The Beard Foundation upon acceptance of this rule.
